Who is Numi Tea?

Numi Tea was founded in 1999 in Oakland California. The co founders are siblings Ahmed Rahim and Reem Hassani. Remembering the delicious teas that they would drink as children in Iraq, they wanted to bring those flavors to the world. This brother and sister team decided that is just would they would do, bring these tea flavors to the rest of the world and make a difference while doing it.

Profits from Numi teas support the Numi foundation. This foundation supports human rights projects. Projects such as Food Relief, Educational programs, clean water programs, and more. Numi teas are also produced under the Fair Trade Agreement and using Climate Neutral Processes. Not only are Numi teas delicious, but the tea bag packaging is also biodegradable.
