In this video, I discuss how my diet and lifestyle have changed in the past couple months without force. Rather, the changes have flowed from my intuition. New habits adopted me, and old habits fell away. I spent a month in Thailand, cheffing on a raw vegan retreat and traveling afterward. I ate more fruit there, and less greens. Already before Thailand, my body and daily schedule were asking for intermittent fasting. Previously IF has worked for me. Other times it’s been too restrictive. Right now it feels right and natural. I don’t usually eat until 10-noon and stop eating between 5-7pm. In the video, I share my daily schedule of celery juice around 10am, banana nice cream or other large fruit mono meal around 11am, a green smoothie (no fruit, no fat) around 2pm, and a savory raw vegan dinner meal with fat around 4pm. I give myself the option to drink herbal tea or jun after dinner. Otherwise, I don’t eat after dinner. I also realize this is around 500 calories less than what I was eating previously, but I feel just as satisfied! If not, more so. My energy is good. I think this is because I am including more greens and nutrient dense foods. My daily fat intake is slightly higher than before also around 10-20% of calories from fat. Again, this feels right for me now. I also started celery juice recently following the Medical Medium method of consumption. I’ve got other family members on it too. We all love it! It seems to help balance electrolytes in the desert summer heat and from my hot yoga practice, as I do not consume salt (other than natural salt in veggies). Overall, I am emphasizing more greens and nutrient dense foods. The name of the game, friends, is INTUITION not restriction.
